š Built for the stages, not just to look good.Ā š
Fresh out of the workshop is 2005 Subaru WRX STI, a car that's spent its life doing exactly what it was built for: competing on rally stages and taking everything they can throw at it.
This wasn't a cosmetic tidy-up. This was a proper rebuild and repair of a genuine rally car that had earned every dent, crack and scar.
š§ The work carried out included:
ā Rear quarter and fuel tank area repairs
ā Rear bumper refinishing
ā Driver's and passenger's rear door repairs
ā Replacement and painting of the front passenger wing
ā Extensive front passenger-side structural repair involving pulling, jigging, heating, alignment and welding
ā Front crash bar modification based on JDM specifications with weight-saving and performance in mind
ā Front bumper and fog light cover modifications to improve airflow to the brakes and radiator
ā Permanent towing-eye provision for quick stage access
ā Rear spoiler repairs with reinforced epoxy-filled corners to improve durability over the original fiberglass design
Every damaged section was assessed, repaired correctly and brought back into alignment.
No shortcuts. No hiding damage under filler. Just proper metalwork, fabrication, welding and refinishing to return the car to fighting form.
The goal was simple: preserve the car's character while restoring its strength, structure and purpose.
The scars tell the story.
The repairs tell the story.
This isn't a road car pretending to be a rally car.
This is a rally car that's been out there doing the job it was built for, and now it's ready for the next battle.
